Depression can affect anyone, with or without obvious triggers.
Those who suffer from it no longer feel able to cope with the demands of everyday life or maintain social contacts.
The following symptoms can be signs of depression:
• Subdued mood
• Lack of motivation
• Sleep disorders
• Loss of interest or enjoyment in activities
• Feelings of guilt and worthlessness
• Fatigue and lack of energy
• Anxiety and hopelessness
• Reduced ability to concentrate and difficulty making decisions
• psychomotor restlessness or slowing down
• Suicidal thoughts
Register yourself or an affected relative for an initial consultation if you have observed some of these symptoms for more than 2 weeks.
What awaits you in therapy:
We begin with the diagnosis (interview and questionnaire) and provide initial information about the disease. We then create an individual explanation of why you feel depressed and look for possible key problems that are bothering you.
The main part of the therapy will be about building up pleasant activities and reducing acute stress. In addition, I will help you uncover unfavorable thought patterns and correct faulty beliefs. If you wish, we can improve social and communication behavior with elements from social skills training and problem-solving training.
At the end of the treatment, we concentrate on stabilizing the therapeutic successes achieved and on preventing relapses.
